Biohope and other 9 Spanish start-ups were selected to pitch their projects at the Call Gebro 2017, hold in Barcelona on 17th July 2017. Biohope obtained the highest score from the judge and so was proclaimed the winner of the competition.

Gebro Pharma Spain, the Spanish subsidiary of the Austrian company Gebro Pharma GmbH, is mainly focused on the development and commercialization of pharmaceutical products for pain and autoimmune diseases.
Call Gebro 2017, sponsored by Gebro Pharma Spain, was born with the aim of selecting the most promising Spanish project in these areas to participate at no cost in Richi Social Entrepreneurs’ 3-week Immersion Program in Boston next Fall 2017 edition.

This is an exceptional opportunity for Biohope to return to Boston in a more mature step of their project, which will allow the company not only to explore and re-connect with Boston’s biotech ecosystems but also to make the most of the chance to start building relationships with Gebro Pharma.

“We are very happy to come back to Boston in order to continue building the collaborations we explored on April. Also, the possibility of collaborating with Gebro in Rheumatoid Arthritis is an enormous opportunity for Biohope” expressed Isabel Portero, Biohope’s CEO, when she got the prize.
